William Roberts

Co-Founder & CEO

Serial founder who's built and scaled multiple ventures and sold one—but his hardest puzzle remains the 3pm pickup. After exiting Loyalty Bay to Perkbox and leading Product and Go To Market at companies from Seatfrog to Vorboss, Will knows how to build systems that actually work. He brings both the strategic thinking and execution expertise to make Together School work at scale.

David Batey

Co-Founder & CTO

Oxford computer scientist, exited founder, and the only CTO brave enough to use a "coding in my bedroom" photo as his professional headshot. David believes the best technology is invisible - it should strengthen human connections, not replace them. Father of young children, he's building tools that make organising pods effortless and tracking growth joyful. His superpower: making complex things simple.

Sophie Deen

Co-Founder & CSO

Children's media founder, bestselling author, and play therapist, Sophie helped shape the UK's groundbreaking computing curriculum and now advises on AI policy. Her first company—backed by Warner Bros.—disguised education as fun. But after years watching kids squeezed through a system designed for the 1800s, she's focused on what kids actually need in the world they're growing into: learning rooted in creativity, critical thinking, and character.

Why We Started Together School

Between us, we've advised governments, built companies, written curricula, and raised children. We've seen education from every angle—policy, technology, creativity, and most importantly, the dinner table where kids share (or don't share) their day.

Together School exists because we believe every child deserves to grow up curious, capable, and connected to their community. The current system produces anxious test-takers - who will be redundant in the AI age we're entering into. We're building something that creates confident, kind, resilient humans - prepared for whatever the future holds.

We're starting with after school care because it's the most flexible, high-impact block of time no one has fixed—yet. But our ambition is larger: neighbourhood learning networks that eventually weave into daytime schooling, holidays and lifelong enrichment.
